Long Time No Write, and more

It really sucks when life gets in the way of things. People who say “if you really have a passion to write, you will always make time” never took 18 credits of college classes while working 90+ hours a week. But still, I feel like I have been extremely lax in coming onto this portal I’ve created and filtering my stress through the sift that is this blog. So lets try to get back to that.

We are young… (heartache to heartache we stand, no promises no demands)

….Pat Benetar anyone? Anyways, I think alot of us, myself included, get caught up in trying to rush ourselves to happiness. We forget how young we actually are. How insanely much more time there is for things to change, improve, and grow. As I have said time and time again, things come when they may. Looking back helps nothing, and being impatient about the future doesn’t make it come faster. But something we can do is work on ourselves, or something we can create, so that that future happiness is even better when it gets here.

Whether this means making art, investing money for a better life down the road, or getting in shape so your body thanks you in 10 years…anything counts. Its easy to not feel motivated because on a day to day you don’t see a difference or feel a difference. But small steps forward that build on yourself will make you proud in the long term. Everyone has to start somewhere, body builders and billionares included.

Bottom line for tonights short message: Don’t feel down that your aren’t where you want to be now, and that you probably won’t be tomorrow either. Pick something and work at it, because 5 years from now you’ll be glad you did.

You got this. We got this.
